初探高中英语口语之开放型教学

一、“开放型口语教学”的模式

首先教师就某一话题设置一日常生活情景,让学生根据日常经验、自我感受通过对话的形式把这一场景表达出来;然后教师指引学生学习相关这一话题的句型;之后再通过让学生操练来加深巩固能力;最后全班学生一起参与情景操练来达到其交际能力。

二、下面我以高二英语教材第 10单元At the shop为例。

Step1. Ask two students the same question: Suppose you have bought a book from a bookshop, between you get home, you find that some pages of the book are broken what will you do with the book then?

Sl: I. will return to the bookshop to Change for a now one.

S2: I will return to the bookshop too, but I will ask the owner to pay my money back.

T: So I'd like very much to make up a dialogue with each of you. I play the part of shop owner, and you come to my shop to do what you want to do.

Dialogue1:

Sl: Hi, Mr yang.

T: Hi, xiaoming, This book is very good, isn't it? And do you want to buy more books?

S: No, Mr yang, I just want to change it for a new one.

T: why? What's wrong with this book?

S: Some pages of the book are broken

T: Impossible! I never sell broken book.

I think maybe you or someone else make it broken.

S: I'm sure that I didn't do it and I did not let anybody touch this book, either.

T: Since so it might be my fault, OK.

I will change it for you.

Dialogue:

T: What can I do for you, young man?

S2: I bought this book here, But when I came home, I found some pages of the book broken.

T: So what do you want to do with it?

S: I want you to pay my money back.

T: No, I can't I only can change it for you.

S: I still think yon'd better give my money back.

T (be coming angry): No way, you either take another book or get out of here now.

结求对话后,先教学生两个生词: insist, insistence.然后问所有学生教师所扮演的两个老板哪一个通情达理一些,为什么?最后通过学生分析,教师总结。

That's because, in both dialogues, teacher used some expressions to show his insistence. But, of course, the first one insisted on his own plan politely, the second one in sited on his own plan rudely.

然后告诉学生来学习如何坚持自己的观点并且是礼貌的坚持。

Step2, play the tape for Ss to listen and then they answer some questions. step3. Play the tape again for Ss to listen and follow. Ask them to pay attention to the speakers' intonation and stress.

Step4 Deal with any language points raised in the dialogue briefly.

Step5 Divide the Ss into two groups

To practice reading the dialogue by acting different roles, after one time, they change the roles to read again.

Step6

要求学生总结出这篇对话中关于表示坚持的句子,如下:

1. That maybe true, but you sold me a blouse that I can't wear anymore.

2. What do you think I should do then?

3. I insist that you give me my money back.

4. I would like you to change this blouse, or else give me my money back.

然后让学生先分析这几个表示坚持的句子特点,特点应是 1、2、4都很委婉,第3句虽很坚定但也非常礼貌,分析之后让学生先一起朗读再自己操练一遍。

Step7情景对话操练

设置二个情景如下:

Situation1: You have bought a pair of shoes from a shoe shop. But later you find that the shoes are not of the same size. So you go to the shop again, make a dialogue between the shop assistant and you.

Situation2: you have just bought at a pe-recorder, But it does not work as soon as you get home, so you go back to the shop and ask for a new one.

学生四人一组,一组中可两人一对的交叉换位表演对话并设计纠错,这样设计既可提出中肯意见,又可帮助纠正表达中的错误,从而使交际的目的更清晰正确,使每个学生从两个角度都锻炼了自己的能力。

Step8对话表演,表演之后,其他学生再提出意见,最后老师进行总结并给予适当纠错。

总之,通过这样的一个过程,让学生从感性理解入手 ,充分发挥学生的思维能力,加深他们对交际英语句型的感悟,最后通过小组情景对话的操练再次发挥学生的个体能动性;让学生不仅是开口说话,表达思想、进行语言交际而且是比较地道准确的表达,从而达到掌握这一句型的目的。
